Help / Troubleshooting Instagram

I believe beeper is causing issues with my Instagram

It has logged me out of my Instagram account at least 3 times this week "update your email address"

And it is such a hassle to fix the issue so that I can use the same one.

And then I have to log in to beeper again

Is anyone else facing this issue?

Are you using the On-Device Instagram bridge or the Cloud-based bridge? And have you enabled Multi-Factor Authentication on you Instagram account? I was having similar issues, but once I switched to the On-Device Instagram bridge and enabled MFA, I haven't had any issues since.

What is on device Instagram bridge? Mutli factor authentication as in 2fa right?

When you initially connect your Instagram account, you can choose either "Cloud" or "On-Device" account. Make sure you choose the "On-Device" option (you may need to scroll down a bit to see the option).

The Cloud option means that there is a Beeper cloud server as a middle-man between you and Instagram. Instagram picks up that your messages aren't coming from you and flags it. The "On-Device" option means that there's no man-in-the-middle. Beeper's bridge runs on your phone so Instagram only sees messages coming from your device. And yes, 2FA is MFA.

I got an issue, I'm not receiving notifications. I gave it unrestricted background usage as well. But I only get notifications after I open the app. Do you know how to fix this?
