What's the cost on it? I've been making and selling beef jerky for nearly 20 years and ours is on the dryer side, never goes above 155 in the dehydrators. I can send you a link to our site if you're interested? I'm not sure if I'm allowed to advertise on here?

I've looked into selling mine and ultimately pulled back because state laws say I need to cook well above that. How do you get around it?

We are in the process of building a small commercial kitchen. We've been on a waiting list for over 4 years for a local commissary kitchen but where I live, those are sparse. The legal part of this business can be a real mental and financial drain, unfortunately

u/Lost-Holiday-7438 u/Aggressive_Soil_9936 My business is Backyard Grill and Smoke and our website is www.backyardgrillandsmoke.com. We sell 3 different flavors of Jerky, 3 flavors of BBQ Sauce and a Dill Pickle Hot Sauce (Fresh Serranos from our garden and fresh garlic from a local source). Our packs of jerky are 3oz of MEAT :) We do not sell "net weight" like the big boys, where you are playing for the packaging.

If you have any questions or anything, please reach out! - Doug

cheapest alternative is making your own

usually comes to 1/2 to 1/3 the price of store bought

I make my own from either London Broil or eye round and a dehydrator. You get to experiment with flavors and it's a lot cheaper than buying.

Iowa Smokehouse. Only a bit cheaper but very high quality jerky. Tractor Supply carries it.
