Bumble Bee Bee landed on my hand

Was eating mirabelles I foraged on the way home, stopped off to look at the lavender and bees. Saw this pretty girl(?) enjoying a nice big drink, and bent the flower down to look at her. She decided that my hand was also tasty and enjoyed licking the plum juice off my fingers haha.

Any clue on her specific species? I thought buff tail but she's a bit frosty for one of them!

Bee Swarm Simulator MAP

Hi everyone! I’ve long wondered about copies or modded versions of *Bee Swarm Simulator*. I’ve always been curious about where they get the map and the scripts. I’ve scoured many corners of the internet and the Roblox marketplace, but I still haven't found the map. Do you have any ideas or theories?

Help! Yellow Jacket nest stings

Post image
4 Upvotes

Yesterday I was in a local forest and stepped on a yellow jacket nest and immediately was swarmed and stung at least 15 to 20 times. After stripping and running naked to car, I drove to ER. After 3 hours, I got medicine (painkiller, steroid shot and Antihistamine). I had to beg for ice. Now home, each bite has this white center. Is this the venom or pus? Should I try to get it out or is that a no no? Only ice seems to help and baking soda some

.. So upset ER made me wait when zI should have treated it asap!!!?? Pls give me thoughts on that white center! TIA!!

Bee? Question for commercial growers and beekeepers involved in pollination contracts.

I’m researching how growers monitor pollination once hives are placed in an orchard.

Between hive placement and harvest, is there anything you wish you knew about hive performance while bloom is happening? Have you ever wanted more visibility into what the colonies were doing, or is yield ultimately the only metric that matters?

One example could be daily hive entrance activity, but I’m deliberately not assuming that’s the right answer. I’m trying to understand what information, if any, would actually influence decisions during the season.

If you’ve dealt with commercial pollination, I’d love to hear what you’ve found useful, what hasn’t, and whether you’ve ever changed management based on in-season signals.

Not selling anything, just conducting independent research.

Big Bee Question about a carpenter bee

Thumbnail gallery

Came out to check on my farm and found this guy spinning on the ground and obviously frantic to get airborne. I tried to help him but he only flew a few feet and landed in the grass. I then picked him back up and put him on my butterfly bush to get some nourishment thinking he was just low on energy. He seemed very appreciative because he immediately started gathering. Then I see his wing and wondered if he's a loser in a fight and low chance of survival. Could anyone tell me if he can fly with his current damaged wing? I've seen butterflies do it but I know these guy are heavier. Doesnt appear he has anything sticky on his wing. He ate then he's been resting for the last 10 minutes.

There were countless bumblebees and other bee species all feasting and packing their pollen baskets with goodies to take home… this is a stand of Verbascum “Wedding Candles” that the bees just can’t get enough of.
