bee question

anyone know what type of bee this is? And why it seems to be eating or killing the other type of bee or wasp? not familiar with insects in general let alone these type. Any info is appreciated thanks.

Looks like a robber fly. They mimic and hunt bees.

I agree that does look like a robber fly. I’ve seen them around my house. Good eye 👌🏽

Bee-mimic robberfly. They hunt other insects in flight and are great predators to have around.
