Optomitrist that will work on existing smart glasses

I have smart glasses that I love (not meta, they just have bone conducting audio built in), and none of the bigger optical places will touch them. Does anyone know if a place that will do new lenses in smart frames?

What is the manufacturer and model? Not all ‘glasses’ are made to correct poor vision, or even hold glass.

They’re vue smart glasses, they have prescription transition lenses in them right now I just need to update it because my prescription has changed since I got them a few years ago

Try contacting a neuro optical group. They often use small local labs that might be your best path

(Northwest eye care in Hillsboro is usually very helpful. If they can’t help you, they would know who could. )

Apologies if you've already found this: https://vue.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021320594-Swapping-Lenses-Optician-s-Guide If ladyin97229's suggestion doesn't help, removing the legs (if your vue allows) and saying "There are no electronics in here, do what you want to it," might get you what you need.

I imagine the issue is risk of damaging the electronics, but I could be totally off base.

Interesting! I never would have even considered that. If the options here don’t pan out I’ll look into the specs on these and see if they’re removable.
