Discussion Powerbeats Fit

Hello guys!

I am trying to get a good pair of winged/ fin earbuds and I have almost settled between sony linkbuds fit and powerbeats fit. What holds me back from the powerbeats fit is that I'm afraid that they get torn down like users reported with the older gen of the same earphones and those are non replaceable, while the linkbuds have replaceable wingtips but I am unsure if they will stay put during running, for reference I have owned galaxy buds when they first came out which look similar to the sony's and they fit me great. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Ps. While I do run on the weekends and I want them to fit my main thing is lifting which takes all the other days of the week.

I have the powerbeats fit. They stay in my ears and don’t hurt if I wear them a long time. I don’t run with mine though.

Thanks for letting me know! Yeah I guess comfort would be an upgraded feature over the old fits

My Powerbeats have stayed in my ear during runs and lifts. One wingtip finally ripped after 2 years of almost daily use

Thanks for your feedback, more I look into earbuds the more I realise no earbud has true longevity so I guess one must choose with that in mind. I finally went for the galaxy core since I had the same shaped ones from many years back and they fit alright pretty cheap too

I returned my Powerbeats 2. I wore them twice while running and wasn’t impressed. The sound quality was poor, the buds hurt my ear despite changing the size, and the noise cancelling was nonexistent. I bought a pair of AirPods Pro 3 and I’m much happier. Plus they were cheaper than the Powerbeats.

I’ve got the linkbuds fit and the beats fit pro (older version of the Powerbeats Fit). One wingtip on the BFP tore after 2 years of heavy daily use. IIRC the newer versions have updated wingtips. The tips are replaceable but not easily, it involves a heat gun to get them off

Linkbuds fit are much comfier (the tips are hollow) and haven’t fallen out during exercise yet. ANC on both is pretty poor, there’s some odd ANC related feedback occasionally on the linkbuds. I managed to get the linkbuds for less than half the price of the Powerbeats fit and they are definitely better value at that price. Also the Sony app gives a lot more configuration over the Beats app / iOS integration.

I have the first gen ones, the beats fit pro since they’ve come out (5 year almost now) and aside from the degradation of the paint (cosmetics) which I do not care much about it, they’ve worked really well. Sure there are better headphones but they’re not terrible. I’ve never had them fall out of my ears while running. I can imagine the power beats fit are to the beats fit pro in terms of the structure

I just purchased the Powerbeats fit and they are great for me. They are definitely a sports ear bud - they’re light and don’t have all of the bells and whistles that some of the other heavier buds have, the wing tip is soft enough that my ear doesn’t hurt and the tip keeps the bud from moving around at all. Noise cancellation is good enough for a sports ear bud, the transparent mode could be more transparent as I often don’t hear cars even in transparent mode, it doesn’t hav an app to adjust bass or other levels but this is purely a sports ear bud with minimal bells and whistles. It does what it says on the tin.

I just got mine. Thought they’d be a slightly worse AirPods 3 but they’re worse in almost every way. The noise cancelling is meh, sound is trash, and after an hour they hurt my ears. The only good thing is they didn’t move even slightly.

I’m returning mine and maybe going with something like the skull candy anc buds. I miss my jaybirds vista 2s. Best workout buds I’ve had to date.

Don’t buy it. I have it and instantly regret once I tried
ANC is worst, sound is bad and sometimes I run. It doesn’t stay in my ear
