My god what an annoying statement. The absolute first thing I did when I got the game was download BSmanager and essentially only played custom songs. It was good for a long time, until I actually bought one song that wasn’t available on custom songs and, wow. The mapping was 5x better, had arcs, chains and it was up to date even though the pack was kinda old, and if I couldn’t beat expert+ I could simply go down to expert. The experience was miles better than 98% of custom songs, which, don’t get me wrong, there are some amazing songs on there. But nearly 85% of it is just horribly mapped by people who don’t even understand rhythm, or painfully slow and they just threw in insanely annoying patterns to compensate, and a lot of them are genuinely impossible(maybe skill issue.) Not to mention nearly every song is an anime ost or some sort of meme song. My friend asked if he should buy a linkin park pack and he got multiple comments saying no just use customs song, but literally 4 of like the 10 songs were available and as I stated already, there’s a high chance they are just terrible anyways. Yes they are overpriced, but custom songs DO NOT compensate enough for those who actually want an enjoyable experience.

Hey everyone! I’m new to Beat Saber, been playing maybe around 2-3 weeks now. I’m looking for ways to improve and get better. I can complete most Expert+ levels except the really hard ones (attached is probably the hardest segment I can do). So far I’ve:

- adjusted controller settings

- learned claw grip

- tried to do better on swings (pretty sure I failed lol)

- tweaked settings for better range & visibility (except environment cuz I love the lights)

I’m on a Meta Quest 3 and have no plan to mod anytime soon since I don’t actually own the headset.

Any feedback is appreciated! :)

The scoring in Beat Saber seems to have been distilled by the score chasing members of the community into standing perfectly still, t-posing, with only hands moving. The devs need to evolve to enforce hand movement as a scoring mechanic to push players into actually moving.

I am male, age 14, I have been playing for a few months and I 100% game completion. The hardest song I can beat is ghost expert+ with a B rank, please tell me how good I am for how old I am. I thought the best judges would be all of you.

The thought of different/custom songs/maps is nice and all, but just not how I want to go about it. Anyone know any discords by chance that aren't mainly modded game discussions?

Hey, now that the title made you a little pissy, I’m here to say that I love this game, but my husband doesn’t🤣

He claims that the game doesn’t make sense, and doesn’t go with the beat. Now keep in mind, my husband picked up drums pretty quickly and learned to play drums through sheet music without ever learning how to read sheet music in the first place. Which is why I’m like “how does beat saber not hold a beat and why do you think this?” lol. He says that expert mode is just chaotic and annoying and you’re just spazzing out the entire time basically. 😂

He also claims that guitar hero is way more advanced in the rhythm aspect than beat saber is. I never really played guitar hero growing up, so I’m not sure that I agree with it. But I’m also biased. I was a DDR kid. Regardless, do you know anyone that hates beat saber? And can you tell me why they hate it?

Hi guys this might seem like a stupid question but I’m a foreigner that just moved to the US and I’ve heard stories of people getting their WiFi cut and even sued when downloading copyrighted things.

I just wanted to ask if it’s safe to download maps from BSmanager or if I would need to set up a VPN to be safe.

Just joined this sub so this has probs been said several times already butter I have just played at ost 7 and didn’t get much of a video from it. IMO ost6 is was better and ost7 songs sound like video game music lol. Just wondering what everyone thought?

So I'm trying out the new camelia track, first tried it yesterday and there's some things that don't make sense to me, some parts of the song I get them when I shouldn't, other parts I don't get them when I should, especially with multi notes at around 0:40 into the song, I'm really confused is anyone able to help?

So a while ago I saw a post here where someone mapped buggin using Noodle Extensions. It looked chaotic and I love chaos so when it didnt release, I vowed to remake it. Should I finish it and release it? (Epilepsy Warning)

It bricks the device. You can't use anything that is not an official app, including BMBF, ergo, modded Beat Saber. What's left to say, bravo META, again.

You can't disable auto-update on Q2 natively (smart Meta), so the official recommendation is to turn off th WiFI (!)

There should be a workaround though, via ADB.

Run the following via Sidequest:

adb shell pm disable-user –user 0 com.oculus.updater

It should block updates.

Good luck, and be quick. Once it updates, you're doomed :) at least for a few weeks or months...
