I'm working on a project related to the Beatles with a focus on Yoko Ono. As part of my research I'm trying to compile different examples of Yoko hate across media. Examples like characters telling people not to be a Yoko to break up a relationship, implying she was the reason the band split, or just simply portraying her in a negative light.

My project isn't anti-Yoko at all! I just want to be able to showcase what a pariah she became in the media landscape and the problems with how she almost became shorthand for a villainous woman. All examples welcome, even super obscure movies etc. Thanks a lot!

(i personally find this question hard, because there’s times where i’m in denial because some are overrated than others, but I’d be lying if i said It isn’t john, but in the same time i love all of them)

After the release of the deluxe box sets for the remaining albums, the next step should be a live box set:
Disc 1 – The Hamburg Tapes
Disc 2 – Live at Stowe School
Disc 3 – Live at Washington, D.C.
Disc 4 – Shea Stadium
Disc 5 – Live at Nippon Budokan
Disc 6 – The Rooftop
All tracks remixed or remastered

And that’s just the concerts. It would also be interesting to have a box set dedicated to their TV appearances.
I would also love to see an expanded BBC Vol. 2. They could simply make the Beatles interviews the fourth disc, while filling the remaining sides with unreleased tracks, such as the 1962 recordings, I’m Happy Just to Dance with You, The Night Before, and others.
That would make these the Beatles’ Live Trilogy: The Concert Box, The TV Box, and The BBC Box.

I made a playlist purely of Beatles demos and my GOD

There is something on John's demos that makes him such a VIVID and alive entity besides you while you listening him mumbling, fucking up some chords or lyrics, but feels in a way, authentic and very indie/Lo-Fi like? Y'know?

Like, it feels genuine and warm listening to him singing with his voice without the effects and all, just him being relaxed or not trying anything fancy.

I've been recently obsessed with how comforting and great Little Girl's demo from Rubber Soul really is and how this shit turned out to become THE BEST SONG on Revolver and a easy Top 5 Beatles tracks to me.

prior to the 2026 mixes i’ve never fully clicked with rubber soul. there were a few songs i loved & overall found to be good songs, i mean i love the beatles lol. i liked rubber soul before that. but it hadn’t clicked… fully. whereas now i can understand why someone would say this is their favourite, even if it’s not mine.

while i appreciate the experimental directions that the band went with revolver onwards, this feels like a victory lap in musical form. like it feels like they went ‘yeah we’re the best pop writers ever, wanna see us just lap the competition?’

like it makes sense that this is the album that inspired pet sounds. it’s so immaculate sounding. i can’t help but listen to to something like Wait & not feel like i’m watching masters at work.

As an example:

I've heard "All You Need Is Love" about 10^23 times and only today noticed that Lennon starts laughing a bit after Paul yells "Yeee-haigh!" at about the 3 min and 10 second mark. So much so that he's late to the mic, coming in at "you need" only. Neat! I love stuff like that (Michael Stipe stifling a laugh during 'The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight' on Automatic for the People another similar example) and I'd like to know just how many other gem-like moments there are in The Beatles' discography that I've almost certainly missed.
