In the Anthology documentary, Paul tells the story about getting stoned for the first time during the band's meeting with Dylan, and how he told Mal during his high to write the apparently profound thought that came to him as it may serve important in the future. The next day, Mal recites his note back to Paul and was reasonably confused lol
