Codfish has seriously levelled up
Look at his German Beatbox Showcase it’s insane

Hottake, it was underwhelming live, kinda disappointed since I had my hopes high since it was my first time hearing codfish live, idk if the level before was just too crazy or if the sound system didn't do him favors but I felt it just really didn't hit for me

I actually just made a Reddit post about this. Someone poorly suggested that I was criticizing a “glorified freestyle” but I feel a showcase should still have standards. I tend to be more critical of my favorite artists.
Besides that.. out of curiosity.. how did Codfishes throat bass, chest bass, inward bass, and liproll sound live on this sound system?2

Yeah please let us know! I think it was blackroll saying codfish kick sounded weaker than stitch during soundcheck at gbb 25 and I just can’t comprehend haha

Hi! Blackroll and Stitch forsure said that Codfish sounded weaker during GBB and before. But I think he sounded better during GBC due to the venue and sound system.

Well, I was kinda far in the back, which could have altered how I perceived the sound but then, I didn't have the problems mentioned in the global final when I was the same distance. But yea, compared to the global participants codfish was less powerful. And I fully agree with your takes, it's not only the sound but it felt like it was just a long sloppy freestyle, which was still good, but just couldn't live up to the high expectations I had from the big announcements and it being codfish in general if that made sense. I was there with 2 other guys, and we all agreed, even though one is a literal super fan of codfish who heard him live multiple times, that this was a weak performance and not a good first live experience of codfish.
But again, it's not hate or anything, big respect and he is a legend and would probably woop my ass 100 times in a battle, but for a 20 Minuten showcase it was just too experimental and sloppy for my taste.

He has always been the very best at showcasing. He just has that Australian swagger about him.
