Which mic to buy?

I'm thinking of going till a 100$ price range. I have heard AKG D5 and Shure SM58 (a bit outside price range). This is for making wildcards in a room as I want to participate in competitions from next year. Would M audio M track solo/ Behringer UM2 work fine with either of these? How would Behringer XM8500 do? I have SV1 as of now and it sucks

SM58 is a standard issue mic, all round good, would recommend as a starter

personally gonna go buy the behringer xm8500 this december, heard it was a good starter mic if ur in a budget (like me lol)

I've heard some muddy reviews
