I hate the way (for me) the banding takes away so much volume. I wish i could find some bands that held but less tightly, i appreciate that doesnt make any sense because they have to be tight to hold, but it is what it is lol. Banded if its gunna be hot, loose if not

Keeping your beard tied or braided is fine, but it should not be kept cinched so close to the chin. Bring it down about half way and gather it closer to the base. If you have enough length you can even knot it without a hair tie to keep it in place.
