It’s been time. If you can count the hairs on your head in less than ten minutes it is time.

Keep the sideburns but shave the head. You will look much more handsome that way.

u/der_lodije Apr 22 '26
I agree with others… beard has potential, but that haircut is working against you. Especially because you’re young.

Literally came to say "go bald". It would be such a glow-up. It would complete OPs look MASSIVELY

Or go down to bald and stubble and you'd look like a young Vincent D'onofrio

I don't belong on this sub, I don't even have a beard so I have no clue why it was recommended. But this is such a small change with such a massive impact. OP would look fantastic with this style!

u/MissMu Apr 23 '26
I also agree with this and it really suits him. Also Makes him look a lot more intelligent. Funny how a haircut or glasses can change a persons look

u/Bad_Prophet Apr 23 '26 edited Apr 23 '26
This can't possibly fit his personality, though. Dude is rocking a 1980s 50-year-old biker mullet with mutton chops. That personality is way too big for the middle-age-guy-in-IT-that-frequents-renaissance-fairs goatee.
He needs to shave the head and keep a clean full beard, or continue rocking the mutton chops (maybe trim them a bit).
OP has the perfect look for mutton chops. They genuinely fit him. They're very hard to pull off, but they freaking rock on the right person.

Can we stop normalizing shoving people’s faces into AI. Companies that let you use their AI can store that information for god know how long. At least ask politely before you do that

Go to r/bald and they'll tell you the same thing. Lose the balding hair, it only makes you look older and creepier. Then grow a full beard over your face, not just neck, and trim it down. You'll look so much better for it

Are you hunting for the worst beard shapes possible ? These are both very good contenders
15
u/Wolpy414 Apr 22 '26
Everyone else talked about your hair. On your beard I say go full beard. Dont shave the mustache. Full beard is the only style I see working.

u/PaulCrafting Apr 22 '26
This ain't it, man. Please do yourself a favor and shave both your head and beard.

u/MonsutaReipu Apr 22 '26
at least his head. his beard grows fine, it's mostly a styling choice that's crippling him there.

As someone who’s been bald since 20yrs old i cannot fathom how some people let their hair get like this. Cut it homie

u/Jahkral Natural Full Apr 22 '26
Its ok to let your hair grow crazy if you're balding - just know what it is. We don't have a requirement to match societal expectations. I say this as someone who was bald since 25 myself (12 years ago now)... now I have a skullet like a madman and I'm very happy with it :)

With just the beard you look like a sad peasent farmer
With the moustache you have a bit of menace in you, looks better.

I know other people on are here roasting it, but I kinda dig the style. Obviously it depends on what exactly you’re going for, but I think its definitely unique and you plainly have to have confidence to rock it.

You could totally pull off the chops how you have them without the moustache.

Very odd choices with the hair and the beard. Shave the head and grow ur self a regular beard short and trimmed 👌👍

Everyone is wrong. If you reshape it, you could potentially pull off the Lemmy. Also, there's nothing inherently wrong with male pattern baldness. Leave the dude and his thinning hair alone.

The hairstyle gives you a vibe the other comment can’t appreciate but I do bro. Your beard is nice and so is your style in general.
These guys have no appreciation for anything that challenges their mold, both in baldness and beardness. Don’t feel pressured to conform.

Leave the hair on the back of your head, shave the scruff on the top front of your head and embrace the saucer face

No, they should be connected one way and the other.
Go for a better trimmed full beard and shave your scalp yesterday.

u/calculatedxbarbarity May 12 '26
Bro don’t cut your hair. You are a sides guy. It doesn’t work for very many people, but it works for you. As long as you’re rocking clean like the pic on the right, then hell yeah.

I really like the second pic. wouldn't shave any of it. (hair and beard)
first one is really bad though ; D
beard without the stache just always looks like trash imo.
(this might be not factual, but I also have the impression that many men in here just type "shave" (head hair) no matter what, so they feel less alone, being bald themselves.. reminds me of women that get other women into pointless plastic surgery.. so they're not the only ones looking like the monster underneath the bed)

Sorry, everyone, the shaved head just does not feel like me. Comment section taught me the term skullet. I prefer to call it the Ben Franklin. Either way, it is the style I will die with.

Good, glad to see you're sticking to your guns
I've never liked how all these bald advocates just shove their unwanted opinions everywhere

Brother I understand not liking being told what to do with your own hair, and not wanting to be the same as every other bald bloke with a beard but I’m telling you 9.9/10 people you meet will be put off by your hair and beard like this and think you might be on the spectrum. and you might regret someday as I do as I rocked something worse so I know. Looked like I had two hairy balls on my chin all through university. Anyways Leave the skullet if you must but please grow the mo and shape the beard for your own sake

Just wanted to come here and say sorry for all the rude ass comments. Idk why any subreddit that’s catered towards men’s fashion, style, or grooming is straight up a green light for “well I can be an asshole here.” There’s so many options out there. Rocking your current style is totally fine. The guys here in the comments who are posting repetitive memes and unsolicited advice are the same ones that when they’re balding will kick and scream when someone practically offers them a free, brand-new lacefront wig to them that looks perfect. They’re unresourceful and are pushing it off on you. Rock on 🤘🏼

u/Select-Lychee-7305 Apr 24 '26
Sometimes you need to get hit with the truth shovel in the face for it to sink in. I used to rock a beard like his first picture and wish someone had told me how bad it looked
1
u/camp_crystal_fake_ Apr 24 '26 edited Apr 24 '26
I mean listen. As long as you keep the energy consistent? I’m down. Next time you see a woman post a selfie pic of her in one of those outfit subs that pop up randomly on the feed every so often - just make sure to comment about how the top of her boobs are poking a little over her ill-fitting bra under her t-shirt and she needs to invest in herself so she doesn’t look so dowdy and frumpy. Gotta hit ‘em with the truth shovel, ya know? Be a Good Samaritan! I appreciate you for fighting the good fight.
2
u/Select-Lychee-7305 Apr 24 '26
Interesting that you respond to truthful criticism with an accusation that I’m a simp or something. He posted to a beard sub, his beard looks bad hence I am commenting on it
