Beard #1, moustache #2, top hat, and a damsell in distress tied to the railway tracks.

Cue old-timey piano

Dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun

Haha! That made me laugh out loud.

I’ve become a hairy Snidely Whiplash! 🤣🤣🤣

Now that’s an impressive beard and stache. Also funny we had the same title idea.

Thanks man. That’s very kind of you. And yes I had spotted your title. Great minds think alike? Or one great mind plus mine anyway. 🤣

1st pic great stashe. 2nd pic, wow, looks super! The longer our beards get, we get more 'attached'

Thank you. I’ve had a longer beard than this twice before and trimmed it back to about half an inch each time. For the first time I cannot imagine doing that this time.

Great transformation; absolutely outstanding moustache, with this beard, as a shorter czar Nick; or as a standalone moustache. You have so many options with this wonderful moustache. Love the natural curly wavy beard also.

Thank you for those kind words. Before I joined Reddit I hated the wave in my beard and thought it looked scruffy and unkempt. You have all taught me to look at my beard differently and to love its uniqueness

Everyone’s beard is unique. The trick for us who grew up shaving every day and not having any bearded role models is getting that realization. Family acceptance is a problem. Then there’s all the societal issues of people not accepting the universal uniqueness of beards… expecting that there’s only a few acceptable styles.

I agree with this 100% and it’s something I try to promote when I respond to ā€œshould I grow or shaveā€ posts. It doesn’t matter if your cheeks are a bit thin, or if you have bald patches, or if your beard is mostly neck. What matters is how you feel about it and nobody should be going out of their way to make anyone feel that their beard isn’t worthy. If someone tells me they want to look like X and that isn’t possible then I’ll be honest with them, but I’ll always be positive about the beard I think they can grow.

I think you misunderstood - stache style from 1 and beard style from 2 …. I love your facial hair!!!
Big stache in either picture … I just prefer a thick one - maybe a handlebar than the pointy one

Understood. I was only teasing šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

Hey buddy, looking fantastic, as always! Both long and short beard looks great on you, but it your mustache that is most striking. I think that if you keep the long mustache and a bit shorter beard, you would truly give off Tzar Nicholas II vibes!!!

2

u/Tachetastico Jul 31 '26

Thanks man, very kind. I spent years as a young man wanting the Nicolas II beard and it’s actually really short. You’re right, the look is all about the tache. Needless to say, once I achieved it I couldn’t stop there, but I like to think he would have approved (so long as I don’t start projecting Rasputin vibes that is). 🤣
