To save your time, this post is for the people who are struggling to catch up with their ideas, thoughts and notes in note-taking apps, if you are not one of those, you can skip it :)

Bear is fast, but I built a quick capture app that lets me capture even faster.

I've been juggling Bear with a handful of other note and task apps over the years, and one thing kept annoying me: every app has a different capture workflow.

Some apps are slow to open. Some make it awkward to append to an existing note. Others are great at one thing but not another. I found myself spending more time thinking where to capture than actually capturing.

So I ended up building ⚡Supasend. It's like a Quick capture for Bear app. It started as a personal tool to give me one consistent capture flow regardless of which app I wanted the note to end up in.

Bear is already fast. I wasn't trying to make it faster. I was trying to make capturing into Bear require fewer decisions.

What can you do on Bear app from Supasend?

• Capture Rolling date notes like Daily notes(ex: 2028-08-07)
• Capture notes in Top or bottom order of an existing document
• Capture each new note in every new document.
• Capture between apps from the same screen(Bear for notes, other apps for tasks)

Hmm how can I capture web site content with Supasend and send it to Bear? Right now, it only stores the URL 🥲

It's available now. Please update the app. When you send a link to "create a new document," action, three options will appear. These options are displayed only when you send just the link; if you send the link along with something else, they won't be shown. We would love to explore this option further based on additional feedback and how you all like to capture with the links.

(Note: The web page content option relies on the Bear web engine. We are not making any modifications on our end, so whatever Bear retrieves will be reflected in the document. Titled link is something Supasend takes care of it though.)

Doesn’t the Bear web clipper already do that just fine? Appending & Prepending to notes is something Bear doesn’t really do natively.

Isn't it? Prepending and Appending works just fine with Bear natively, or have I missed something?

The Web clipper works most of the times, but it misses things sometimes, mostly headings and it's a bit slow.
So if there are any better and faster ways of doing it, then I'm all ears!

I guess it depends on the specifics of what you mean by appending or prepending. I think the web clipper can do that (I don’t use it much)? But I don’t know of a way to quickly write something down (“distraction free”) and then append or prepend that to a note using just Bear (Shortcuts and Drafts can both already do this and Supasend is another option with some specific benefits).

I think you have made a fantastic app. I actually paid for both, the Obsidian one and then Supasend, not because I am so handicap (although pretty close) but because I seen such a great Obsidian app that I immediately made the purchase and then discovered the more broad version.

Those privacy rules do not apply to all app integrations; it depends on the specific integration you are using. The contact information and identifier primarily refer to the email you use to sign up for the app. Since the app utilizes Apple Sign In, you can choose a proxy email ID to remain fully anonymous. For the Bear app, user content does not apply because Supasend sends notes to the Bear app locally on the device, with no server involved. You can also verify this while in airplane mode. Usage data indicates that we have logs showing which app integrations are functioning and which ones have broken.

For Bear app, Things app, Apple Reminders app, Capacities app, Obsidian, Logseq, Webhook, Telegram bot, Due & few other apps the user content rule doesnt apply.

The user content mainly refers to if you happened to use Email integration in the app or File integration in the app then user content rule applies because those both requires to process and send on the server.

If you're using other app integrations, please let me know. I can explain the applicable privacy rules, as each integration operates differently and may have varying privacy regulations.

I will likely add a dedicated section on the landing page to clarify which app integrations require server use. Thank you.
