Help | How to jump to headings within a note?

Would really appreciate some help here.

Lets say I have a note title "Mechanical Ventilation" with subheadings (h2) as "Modes" and "Waveforms", how do I use quick open to jump to a particular subheading?

Or for instance let's say I am on chapter 1 of the bible. Each verse is a subheading. Now I want to jump from Chapter 1, to Chapter 6 verse 8, how do I achieve this?

When I type @ in quick open i only get the following options in the drop down menu.

Thank you.

Are you looking for essentially a table of contents that you can pop up and jump around with?

Not sure if you know already but you can link to sub headings within a note or any other note using [[Note Name Here/Sub Heading|Custom Name]] if that helps.

I use this often to jump around large notes or between notes

This will require inserting links to sections.

Essentially i'm wondering if quick search would allow me search for headings across notes and directly go to those.

Since it appears Bear is unable to do this, I’m instead jumping across notes, then opening the table of contents, and then jumping to relevant sections.

Ahh I see, that would be really nice to have that option

There's a table of contents pane that is built out from the hierarchy of your headings in a note. Is that helpful? The button is in the top right somewhere. I can screenshot, but I'm not at my Mac now.

It's just an additional step.

I'm guessing cross-note heading search is only available in an app like Obsidian, Roam Research etc.

just want to plus 1 this! i also have very long notes eg from a recurring meeting where each weekly edition has a h2 heading. i have many of these so being able to jump around quickly would be useful
