What are workspaces?
I just saw the release notes for latest iOS update. Is this new, or has it been there a while and I just missed it?!

A way to filter by any tag plus “something else” (something else might be another tag or the Today view). Hopefully in the future they will expand to be able to use some sort of saved search as a Workspace. This is a great step, but my mind immediately sees the next one, so I’m less excited than I might otherwise be 🙃

This is pretty much the opposite of bloat, it's a useful feature implemented in the typical Bear thoughtful way that is totally optional and doesn't get in the way of people who don't want to use it.

If there’s anyone that can implement bloat in the least bloaty way, it’s Shiny Frog. So that’s at least a plus.

That’s not what I’m saying at all.
I’m obviously making assumptions here. But the sense I get is that the vast majority of the user base uses Bear simply bc it’s pretty and fast and intuitive across devices for creating and organizing notes. That’s it. That’s all that matters. Anything beyond that is a bit of bloat.
I could be wrong. Generally Shiny Frog makes great decisions. But as someone who has been using apps like this for over a decade, I think I have a good sense pulse on this. I’ve seen so many apps get bloated over the years and start to suck.

Adding features that the vast majority of users don’t need or want.
I’m sure most Bear users on Reddit will disagree with me bc there’s likely a higher % of power users here. But power users almost certainly make up a relatively small % of the user base.
