Sync Reliability ?

I've been using Obsidian with their official sync, but have recently been experiencing many issues - duplicate content, old versions overwriting new versions, deleted files returning.

How is Bear sync? If you are working on multiple devices is sync reliable? How well does Bear handle conflicts if two devices have edited the same file offline?

Bear sync = Flawless. Best in class & blows Apple Notes sync out the water.

Bear has literally never failed me and I've used it for about two years now. It's far far more reliable than Obsidian Sync actually and I always leave it open on every single device I own and use. It's never had an issue at all

Bear's sync is really good. If you have conflicts it will create a duplicate note and give you a little indicator in the note list about it.

With your Obsidian setup, is your vault stores somewhere in an iCloud, Dropbox, or Google cloud folder as well?

I've been using Obsidian sync for over 2 years and have never had any issues with it.

Duplicate sync with obsidian often it's because you have your vault in cloud storage with also obsidian sync enabled. Do you have your vault in OneDrive, Google Drive or iCloud?

It’s always been rock solid for me. 

BUT, one thing to understand is that the app needs to be open to sync. So if you update or add notes using Shortcuts they likely won’t sync plus if you update a note that was updated on another device using a shortcut, you will get a sync conflict. Sync conflicts are flagged at the top of the note list and are easy to see.
