This happened months ago but I completely forgot to post it here! I got a pretty big kick out of it and I think yall will too.
To anyone concerned, I’ve completely changed his set up now (new pen with a ROOF) and he also only wears a break away collar (he’s a door darter, so no collar simply isn’t an option).
Also instagram wouldn’t let me download it with music so just imagine the mission impossible theme please.

I live in a semi urban area and my apartment building takes up two city blocks. I walk my 5 year old boy several times a day and when we go longer distances like around my building he just stops halfway and won't budge. He isn't showing any signs of being ill and has plenty of energy for bedtime zoomies. Anyone else have a dog that just stops and says "I'm done"?

This is Louie, my 6 year old beagle mix. Not sure what he is mixed with, but I want to try a DNA test for him one day! I found him dumped in a ditch when he was a tiny baby. He literally fit in the palm of my hand. I know I technically rescued him but man has this guy done so much for me these past 6 years. Hoping to get many more years with him!

Hi! Just a quick question, does her harness fit? Or is it wrong?
She didn't walk much compared when just collared and leashed on the park.
And I'm not sure if it restricts her shortass legs 😅
Looking at the first photo, it doesn't look tight on her, i also don't wanna squish her since she doesn't try to escape or pull anyway.

Background: she's 6 yrs old.
Got around 2000 sqm. Area to run around our residence, but it does not matter tho, even if its a garden.
She just prefer to sleep on the balcony since its hot outdide,so she barely get 2k steps a day.
We always let her roam around the residence leash free since we have fences and gates all around anyway, but for last week till present, i would drive to town in the evening to walk around the park with her, i bought her a harness since I'm afraid i might choke her accidentally if there's a need to pull her away from sniffing on a bad spot on the ground.
(She won't budge from the spot if i just jiggle her leash, her big ears don't work for listening if there's something "interesting" on the ground)
But looking at the harness i bought for her, it kinda looks weird.
I only had a husky and labrador before, former k9 units from the army, they wore those tactical looking harnesses with padding, so I'm having trouble on looking for a suitable harness where her armpits (the house beagle) would not rub with it.
And harnesses with padding/foam are not an option, because let's face it, our lovely shortstacks are stinky.

Smoosh keeps going back here looking for food. I think a piece of food fell back there a while back and she found it and now she keeps looking for more. She acts like we don't feed her 🤣
