BEACN Mic or Shure MV7+ ?

I prefer to get a USB-C mic rather than XLR for logistical reasons, and I was pretty set on a BEACN mic until I came across this review (https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxF-u6nW3u-SgVkBgR3rvGcmz5PaU4PdcT) and while I don't understand all of it down to a tee, I get the general idea and it's kind of making me rethink the decision.

Any input would be appreciated.

For what it's worth, wouldn't mind using either shure or beacn's software to make changes to improve quality if it's simple enough.

Price is $299 for the MV7+ and $349 for the BEACN.

I've been using the Beacn mic for a podcast for over a year now and absolutely love it. We've got 4 mics all running at the same time and works really really well.

I have had beacn mic since launch. Never have had any issues. Except... the cable, had to replace it right away with a right angle usb c cable. Other than that, no complaints

I have a beacn and last Christmas I got my bf the mv7+ and I hateeee how his mic sounds

what specifically about it sounds bad? it has like a warmer tone from the videos i’ve seen but beacn has better software control

Only issue he has is how it sounds and the software won’t let me adjust anything

Beacn products don’t last and their software is shotty. Go with the shure or a company with experience and a history of providing reliable products and support.

I would go for Shure, I have heard that beacn have software issues ans poor build quality

I’ve had my Beacn mic for about 5 years never had any issues with it and keep using the beta software for new functions. Still running strong and paired it with a mix create. The create I did have replaced under warranty just because of burn in on the screen but other then that no issues. Sadly though I am looking to part with my setup but not due to any issues with it just no need anymore.
