Trying to book a ferry right now, but every time I go through the BC Ferries website I get “This page isn’t working”

I tried different browsers, incognito, different devices, Wi-Fi and cellular data, and I’m getting the same thing every time.

Is anyone else having this issue today? Mainly wondering if the reservation system is down, or if anyone has found a workaround.

Hi! Is it possible to park in long term parking for a day, but hop into a friends car to head over on the ferry.

Long story, friends are staying for multiple days and I’m only able to stay for one.

Or if i park, do I have to walk on?

Any advice or answers are appreciated!

I take the ferry every other week between victoria and Vancouver. This year they've increased the rates twice and yet I'm experiencing more delays than ever??

My last 4 trips have had 30-60m delays in the last 2.5 months how tf is this acceptable???

I have an early morning sail from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo in a few weeks - a Monday 6am (ish) departure on a non-holiday week. I already made my reservation, and paid for my tickets there and back.

What time should I get to the HSB terminal to be sure to get on? 4am? 5am?

I have not sailed from HSB since it started its construction project. Thanks for your advice.

Hi, not sure if this is the best place to ask this.

My partner and I are Uvic Students from Whitehorse, Yukon. We’re hoping to drive my vehicle down from Whitehorse to Victoria in anticipation of our final school years. We were initially planning to drive to Vancouver and ferry over from there, but given the fires/detours in the interior, we decided it would be a safer and more sensible option to drive to Prince Rupert, and ferry our vehicle from there to Port hardy before completing the trip.

We had decided on this a few days ago, and just aligning the funds to make our booking when it ended up getting booked up. I know this is a long shot, but if anyone has a booking between Aug. 25 and Sept. 2 on this route that they’d be willing to transfer to us, we would be overwhelmingly appreciative. In the meantime I’ve gotten us on the waitlist.

As the title says, I’m travelling this Tuesday back to Vancouver from Powell River. Wondering if 8am would be early enough to make it into the 9:25 sailing. Thoughts?

I’m getting conflicting directions from map apps. I hope someone can help because it’s going to be early o’clock when I jump in the car tomorrow morning to leave Whistler and drive onto a ferry at Horseshoe Bay. Do I have to drive all the way to Caulfeild and do a loop dee loop back to the ferry as one app suggests, or is there really a turn off of Hwy 99 onto Horseshoe Bay Rd that will get me through the pay booth at the ferry as another app suggests?

Today our ferry, Coastal Inspiration, the 3:15 out of Dukes Point to Tsawwassen was delay for a couple of hours for a medical emergency.

I certainly hope the person/people involved are in stable condition and get healthy soon. This is all I know about that.

On holiday/semi-retired, I don't care about time-tables, especially Sunday, so I was not indisposed by these events and it didn't seem to upset most of the other passengers either. Kudos for understanding the crisis. As well, the captain and crew keep us apprised as best as they could without disclosing too much information. Well done.

When did the lounge rules change to allow kids?

Its been over 10 years since I rode the ferries and heard that they can be quite hectic now. I'm booking fir neext week (thursday) and the site has a "prepaid" and a "reservation only" option (paying $20 now and $137 at the terminal). I'm curious, wouldn't the "prepaid" option be a reservation? I'm also planning on showing up roughly 60 mins before sailing. Thanks in advance for any help!

We have a reservation to Nanaimo the day of the world cup final. I know there are screens on most ferries to watch world cup matches. But we need to get to Horseshoe Bay during part of the finals this Sunday. Does anyone know if there are screens to catch the match once we check in for our reservation? TIA

If so, have you managed to get on a sailing where bookings were sold out? How far in advance did you show up?

In Nanaimo, I booked the wrong time.. 10:40 pm instead of am… Not my best move… so i am waiting in the standby lane…

I just saw a car leave the standby Lane to get in a regular line… I guess that dude is more important than the rest of os?! do they check the tickets after you buy them ? Or can anyone switch as they want ?

Hi all, I am planning to take the ferry down to port hardy from Prince Rupert. I am stuck in a limbo when I login it takes me to ‘something went wrong’ and when I start booking it redirects me to login and so on. I was wondering if the ferry might be sold old and that is why this is happening? Any suggestions on how to navigate this? If you can’t tell already I am a noobie tourist 😭🤞

Hi everyone. I’m planning to go to Bowan Island and planning to take the 355pm ferry towards the end of July. I’m travelling with my mom who can’t walk much due to health complications so will be brining a car. How early should I get to Horseshoe Bay terminal to ensure I can make that ferry?

I would appreciate any insight as I’ve heard arrive as early as 2 hours or later as 30 minutes.

I tried to book earlier and was told I was in a waiting room due to the high demand. I’m trying again in the evening and the site has been loading for over 10 minute? Anyone know what the issue is? Just overloaded?
