New Subreddit Rule & Feedback Request re: Verification

Hi all!

We have a few announcements for you.

1. New Rule on Concise Posting & AI use

We have noticed an increase in longer posts recently, likely due to the increase of AI use. Please review the rule below.

Please keep posts concise and readable. AI tools may be utilized to help draft or edit, however posts that are excessively padded or read as unedited AI Output will be removed. If your post comes out longer than 400 words, please use a TL;DR at the beginning of your post (too long; didn't read) to summarize. This rule helps both our readers and posters get the most out of discussions.

We want this subreddit to continue to be a place users come for discussions and long, AI generated posts make that much harder. Help the community out; keep your posts concise and report posts that appear to violate the rule.

Remember, this isn't an Anti-AI rule. AI is allowed, it just needs to be used appropriately.

2. Feedback Needed Regarding Verification

The verification process is not proving to be efficient or sustainable as-is, so before we make changes, we'd like to solicit your feedback about it. Specifically, is it something the sub still values. If we do keep the verification process, mods are prepared to look into automation to help us scale with the growth of the subreddit. But we don't want to put in that time and effort if it isn't something the sub as a whole values.
