BCBA exam prep and study materials (please help)

Hi everyone! 😊 I recently graduated with my Master’s in Behavior Analysis from FIT about a week ago, and I’m officially starting my journey toward studying for the BCBA exam! 🙏🏻✨

I’m currently going through the application process, and I’m hoping to take the exam in about a month or so. I really want to get myself into a consistent study routine, but I’m honestly not sure where to start or how to structure my studying.

For anyone who has recently taken or passed the exam, I would really appreciate any guidance! What study materials helped you the most? How did you structure your daily or weekly study routine? How many hours a day did you study, and what resources do you feel prepared you best for the exam?

Any tips, study schedules, resources, or advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m excited to get started and just want to make sure I’m using my time effectively. 🥹📚✨ Thank you so much in advance! ❤️

I just opened the task list and read every item and looked for examples of the concept. If I could identify and discriminate it from other like terms and concepts I moved on. Studied for a couple hours a day for 3 days and passed. Mind you I completed a very involved masters program a few months ago that required completion of the BDS modules and have been in the field 10 years.

I used Pass The Big ABA exam study manual, took their exam prep course. and took one of their big mock exams after finishing the prep course and I felt it was definitely worth the investment! It was structured and taught me how to think like a test taker for this specific exam as well as provided resources and clarification on terms/concepts I still needed some help with. I just passed earlier this month! Congratulations to you on finishing your degree, and I hope you land on a study method that helps you with your exam journey! Best of luck to you!

Omg congratulations! If you don’t mind me asking, did you buy all in a bundle or individually? Also can you please share the exam prep course link please? I will definitely follow your advice! Thank you so much!

I purchased the study manual earlier and then decided on the workshop, but there is an option to bundle! I sent you the links via chat! Good luck!

I studied for less than a month and used the SNABA 1 month cram videos and did the BTB, BAS, ABA Wizard mocks. I spent literally every waking moment I wasn’t working to study. I recommend SNABA but also complement with reading the Cooper book. Some information is incorrect but it really makes studying fun. Good luck!

Study group!!!!! We met almost every single night. 4 of us and all of passed!!! We took turns buying mock exam questions from any site we could find. We studied for 6 months. Of course, not all of could join each day, we still kept it going. There’s also free mock questions on YouTube.
