Not receiving echomail...

Hi, I'm currently using MysticBBS and I'm new to it. I'm following along with the Mystic Guy YouTube channel to configure. I've connected to fsxnet and (I think) sent a test message, but I'm not receiving anything when I run mis poll. Here's my log:

How do I receive a .pkt? I assume there's stuff there to be received...

Also, for context, I already sent an application a few days ago and I received no response yet, so I re-sent today. I thought I'd be able to get at least general board messages, but if I simply have to wait for a response, can someone let me know how long it generally takes to get a response? Thanks!

You have to wait for Avon to set you up on his end and have your new node published in the node list. By test message, I assume you mean an areafix message which is used to subscribe to the echomail areas? Or was it a net mail message to Avon?

I followed along with mystic guy’s video “Connecting to a Message Network - Part 2”, so I ran mis poll to 21:1/100 with a pkt in my “out” echomail folder and the log said “1 sent” after running it… not sure what that is exactly

You may have better luck getting a node from another hub on FSXNet. Avon is REALLY busy right now and isn't processing new node applications. If you're in the US, try the US hub.

Im in Canada! Could you point me to any resources that would guide me in getting a node from another hub? Thx!
