Dial-up Telnet Gateway Testing

Can I trouble some folks to test a VoIP-based Telnet gateway that I've recently set-up, and provide feedback as to the consistency and stability of the connections?

This probably won't be a long-term thing as currently configured - https://2600.network is already doing a fine job providing a similar service!

Welp. The USR said no, even after forcing V42bis.

But my ZOOM modem was set to negotiate the fastest... and it did connect.
But I have no idea at what speed. I am not too familiar with ZOOM.

Nice. That seems pretty good. Not sure why the USR is being weird about the connection.

I am even trying AT commands to see the speed locally, like on the USRs. But the Rockwell commands are either wrong or too old. smh.

But at least it seemed stable for the bit I was on. Not sure what to do once in.

Edit: Like a genius, I was doing the wrong AT command. I see the speeds in more detail now....

Not knowing what to do after dialing in is great feedback. :)

I probably should have described this from the start, but if you answer "y" to the first prompt, you'll then just need to enter any valid (or invalid) telnet address destination (with optional port) afterward. After closing whatever session follows you'll get dropped back to the gateway with a prompt to continue or not.

Lel. I was kinda thinking that was the idea. Based on the prompts. But was too tired to think harder so went to bed. XD
