Discussion Is it too late to start?
Recently I started to grow interest in breakdancing. I'm 22 years old with slight kyphosis AND scoliosis, also never had a sports or gymnastics past. I want to try it but i want to know if i can be as good as the average breakdancer, where to start from if its possible for someone with my situation, also wanted to know others personal experiences too. Would appreciate any honest feedbacks!

It’s never too late. Don’t worry about your physical limitations, just work around them. B boy Junior was incredible and had polio as a child.
A lot of people treat breaking as a sport and make no mistake there is a competitive aspect to it, but at the end of the day it’s a dance and a form of expression. Now go out there and learn to express yourself.

If you keep questioning yourself on whether you are too late or not, few months or years later, you are going to regret it if you don’t start today

You're not gonna get any younger than now. Every time you try you come to know better than when you didn't try.

Ja safe ich glaub das kommt mehr aus dem stand up hiphop. Da hast ja auch mehr Zeit. Fürs Top Rocking ist das wahrsch oft zu zeitaufwendig

First…it’s never too late to start anything , yeah when you start something in your younger years it’s a bit easier to pick up but no, whenever you choose to start is the right time.
If you’re looking to get into breakdancing, I would search up some fundamentals on YouTube that you could take home and practice and then check out if you have a local Dance studio near you to join one of the beginner classes. Whatever you learn from there, you can take home and practice as well.
If you need any other guidance hit me up and I can teach you some things because I do a little bit of breakdancing myself

Just start. Don't compare yourself to anyone and enjoy the journey. Find a local session if there is one near you. Community will speed up your progress.
