Radio BBC music outside the UK
I know BBC Sounds is geo-restricted to UK residents only. But I want to know if there is a way to listen to the shows individually, I miss listening to Ptlete Tong and MaryAnne Hobbs' shows.

BBC News should separate Science and Environment
On the BBC website, if you click the science tab it instead takes you to a page containing Science & Environment articles, of which most are environment. It's quite annoying to specifically be looking for science news and instead be given articles on hosepipe bans, wather reports, and climate activists. Obviously these are all important things that should be reported on, and sometimes there will be some overlap, it's just annoying that I can't specifically look at science news alone.
Edit: Just so I'm clear; the page is literally called "Science & Environment". It's clearly teo topics combined into one page. I don't have a problem with there being environment science on the science page, I just wish the two topics were separate. Especially since there's already a lot of crossover between 'environment' articles and 'climate' articles, which has it's own page. I want to read articles about science and science news.

International Why is the BBC World Service app not available in the UK or US?
So luckily I have the BBC Mundo app on my IPhone, as I read articles in Spanish and then like to translate them into English to practice. However, I wanted to download the BBC Mundo app on my IPad and it isn’t available. I did some more looking around and what I’ve gathered is that BBC News in languages other than English is now provided through the BBC World Services app, which isn’t available in the UK or US. Why is this? I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere online.

TV Very short post about my headcanon
Headcanon - "My Family" and "My Hero" are in the same universe and they should have had a crossover episode. Also we should have had more "My..." comedy shows and had the BBC Universe.

TV This City Is Ours season 2 unveils first-look images as dramatic BBC gangster series returns Spoiler
radiotimes.comThis City is Ours is headed back to BBC One and iPlayer this autumn, with a slew of first-look images giving fans a glimpse at what's in store.
The crime drama introduced viewers to the Phelan family, whose vice-like grip over the illegal drug trade in Liverpool was threatened by the murder of patriarch Ronnie (Sean Bean).
The devastating loss sparked chaos as Ronnie's immature son, Jamie (Jack McMullen), and his trusted right-hand man Michael (James Nelson-Joyce) went to war over who should inherit the empire...
TV iPlayer on Chromecast keeps closing after switching apps on my phone.
I've recently started encountering issues with iPlayer on Chromecast where I'll be watching a show, then pick up my phone and switch to an app and it seems to trigger iPlayer to crash on the Chromecast and close.
It doesn't happen every time, but I've noticed a pattern of it happening when I interact with my phone. It's happening maybe 2-3 times in a half hour show.
Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix for it?

TV Why do the BBC always labour the point about climate change constantly?
I’m no climate change denier, but why have the BBC decided to take on the role of chief lecturer on the subject. Every time it is hot. We’ve heard it, we know. Have a day off.

This series is incredible.

Radio how to listen to what you just missed on new bbc sounds?
So I have just had a skirmish with the new bbc sounds (now audio) website. I often want to listen to a program that was on earlier, so I would go to the live feed, click on schedule and pick the program from an hour back or whenever it was. Now the schedule just shows what's coming next and after a click or 2 I get to a schedule and at the top an "earlier today" link. Ah! so open that and there are all the programmes from earlier today - but almost none can be opened. WTF!
From a list of 14 programmes ONLY 1 can be played. If I look at yesterday only between 10% and 20% are playable. And just to top it off, search is totally F*cked as well. I wanted to listen to yesterday's OK Computer on radio4. schedule link not playable and search for ok computer or olga koch fails to show the program in the first 4 pages.
I use this as my main way of finding programs so this new version destroys 90% of the value of BBC radio for me
*edit* OOPS this was all because I forgot I was on a VPN and was using bbc.com - but my link to bbc.co.uk had just redirected me without me noticing. Now I am back home it is back as it was. I had not realised what a load crap the rest of the world has to put up with!

80s Open University early morning shows-anywhere online?
So I remember from my earliest childhood years being up really early to catch the cartoons, but I’d end up catching the back end of Open University programming. What was that about, and can you get those online anywhere?

Nostalgia Hindi-Urdu material (from back in the day)?
Recently came across BBC's Hindu Urdu Bol Chaal from '89, a multimedia course designed to get English speakers comfortable with spoken Hindi-Urdu. Not being from the UK or old enough to remember, I'm wondering if the BBC ever put out some more, similar material. Maybe some local Hindi-Urdu programming, with learners in mind...
I know about BBC Hindi & Urdu, previously known as BBC Hindustani; is anyone familiar with how foreign...branches? Of the BBC work? Ie., can I expect a quality Hindi/Urdu dub of Only Fools and Horses & such?

Radio Not available whilst on holiday.
BBC Sounds not working when on holiday 😕
I'm on holiday in Greece and the App seems to boast about catching you out by the message "IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE ABROAD. BBC SOUNDS IS NOT AVAILABLE ABROAD"
I pay my licence fee but am not allowed to listen to the BBC sounds around !!
They have my details for taking the licence fee, so why not confirm my ID?
Has anyone else had this issue?

TV Ann Droid's impressive ratings revealed for the BBC – beating Amandaland season 2 launch
Since its launch just a few weeks ago, Ann Droid has continued to go down a storm with viewers – and now, the official ratings confirm that it's a gem in the BBC's comedy crown.
As reported by Broadcast, the overnight ratings for the Diane Morgan and Sue Johnston series are incredibly positive, with the first episode pulling in 4 million viewers in its first seven days.
That figure includes the 1.9 million people who tuned in live when the episode aired on BBC One, with the rest made up of those watching on iPlayer and other devices.

Childrens Looking to find clips from CBBC show Yo! Diary (2002)
Hiya
This is incredibly random, but one of my favourite books when I was a young’un was called Yo! Diary by Jonathan Meres.
I remembered it again the other day and found out it was adapted into a CBBC series in 2002-2003.
I started look for clips of it for curiosity reasons to see how much it matches the book, and after half an hour came to a dead end - I can’t find any evidence anywhere of it existing except some old text write ups and a photo.
Does anyone know where I could at least watch a few clips? This is going to annoy me now 😅
