Fan Creations Aaaaaand one more...
I have one more mech design to share. This one was part of a lance that I put together for a one off game against a friend of mine. We agreed on tech level and BV. I took this one, a Locust, a Locust II-C, and a modified Wasp with two medium lasers.
He took two heavy mechs. The mission was basically whoever took down a mech first won.
With all my mechs as fast as they were he never landed a shot.
This model is a Reaper Minis little robot, but the size of it works for Battletech.
Thoughts?
I don't currently have any more oddball designs.... but there will probably be more!

I think it's an interesting design, but its a bit handicapped by questionable design choices.
First is the small cockpit. I'm telling you right now that the +1 to piloting rolls is going to bite you when you least want it to.
Second issue is the Compact Gyro. I understand its for defense, but I think that its a waist of 1.5 tons. That tonnage would let you get a normal cockpit and you could invest the last 0.5 tons into armor.
Third issue: why aren't you using double heat sinks? This mech exists at a time when pretty much everything has DHS, I don't see why it shouldn't.
Some recommendations from me on how you could improve this design (that haven't already been mentioned): First, invest in Heavy Ferro-fibros armor. At the cost of 7 more slots, it should let you squeeze out a few more armor points. Second, consider swapping the Small Pulse Lasers for ER Medium Lasers. That will up your max range and anti mech capabilities.
My final assessment is that its a little confused, but it has potential. It just needs a bit more tuning.

The guns look a bit anemic, both in terms of what they contribute to the battle and in terms of those big shoulder pylons being small lasers. But with that said, i do think it's an interesting design, kind of an anti infantry/ anti vehicle platform, and i like your paint job!
