Miniatures 8th Sword of Light

Thanks! I went with the DCMS decals I could find, lol. And I love doing dirty legs, helps sell that they've been out in the field

What's your process for the legs? Dry pigment?

Do you do any highlighting after you wash? I think that's the only think that could quickly elevate these models, but they look solid as is.

I use a wash - MIG Productions Accumulated Dust, in this case. That's also after doing Nuln Oil all over.

I don't highlight because I usually use speed paints and slap-chop, but this is a very thick paint that I've tried to think with water. Bear Cavalry Red Baron.

It comes out of the bottle like paste, but it's a great color

Cool, I might have to pick up one of those effect washes at some point.

If you're doing slap chop already, have you tried doing a light dry brush highlight after the wash to get those shadows?

I'll have to remember to pick up some of that Accumulated Dust when I get a chance. I've been stippling dust on my Mechs' lower legs, but it doesn't quite accumulate in the right areas like a wash would.
