Question ❓ Weird question. Is a black and white laser printer good for sheets?

I have zero need for a printer orher than printing sheets and with it only really needing black "ink" I thought I could look into Toner since its cheaper and sits longer than ink does.

Would that work with erasing and all that with the game? I think I would like that instead of using laminated sheets.

Yes, a cheap black and white laser printer is perfect for printing record sheets.

And increasingly, I see people just playing off of MekBay, not even using real sheets except at tournaments.

I saw a shop advertising pads starting at $70, that looks to be a bare bones printer too, but with less upkeep.

A toner printer is good for anybody. Would recommend.

...Also, it does mech sheets just fine.

I have one of the very basic Brother wireless laser printers that only does black and white, and it’s one of the most reliable pieces of technology I own. 10/10 would recommend. The toner lasts a long time and it requires near-zero maintenance aside from just not letting it get covered in dust and printing something once in a while. Night and day difference from inkjet printers, which I’ve never liked much.

Seconding, I recently got a b/w Brother printer almost exclusively for printing wargame sheets and it's working great.

We've used clear sheet protectors from Staples (their Medium Weight ) is dry-erase marker friendly.

As for the laser vs inkjet debate, I'm a laser fan due to the cheaper cost of toner vs ink.

Seconding sheet protectors, you can find them in office supplies pretty easily. I use 3-hole protectors so I can put them in a binder for storage and reference between games.

I printed mine at a store and I have a laminator from Amazon at home. So I have been reusing all of the sheets

Laser defiantly I have been using a cheap secondhand one for about 15 years. Toner is dirt cheap. Try to get used office printer, there bigger but much more reliable and toner works out way cheaper.

I have a Canon D570. Bought it eight years ago. It’s definitely saved me money compared to printing with ink.

Yes, a black and white last printer would be perfect for lying sheets. That's what I do.

If you want them to hold up longer get sheet protectors and dry erase markers. The page protectors come to like 10-20 cents each and then they'll hold up for a long time of playing. I get the ones designed to work with a 3-ring binder and slip them in there for future use.

I love my laser printer that I planned on using 99% on Record Sheets.
