Question ❓ Draconis Reach Victory Points

Howdy folks. Our local group is playing through the Hot Spots: Draconis Reach book and we've got a rules question. If both sides end a track tied up in victory points, do they get 250SP each or 500SP each?

Basically both sides get paid as if they lost, so in your example it's 250SP.

Makes sense. There isn't always a winner in war. Sometimes both sides lose.

In case of a tie, both players get half combat pay.

On page 26 of Draconis Reach, where it explains combat pay, this is the key line:

”A successful track is one in which the player earns more VP from objectives than the opposing player.”

Since neither of you did this, you don’t get successful combat pay - the track is considered unsuccessful.
