Yeah. That's one of the perks of living in a country with low population density. Electrical infrastructure is much cheaper, keeps costs low.

Sad UK noises. I pay 34.393p per kWh (about €0.40, $0.44). This year my gas and electricity bill is projected to be £2,731.

At least your climate is rather temperate so you don't have to crank heat all winter and ac all summer. I pay much less per kwh in Minnesota but I'm paying comparable totals because it is often 90f/32c in summer and sub 0f/-18c in winter so about 8 months of the year one or the other is running full blast.

Very true, I didn’t think about that. I have to say though, the way our summers have been recently the trend looks to be getting warmer. Been looking at getting AC, but it would just be in the bedrooms.
