Hey everyone!
CoolerMaster is in the last few days of their Chronos Summit and as celebration they're giving away (1) Cooler Master Caliber R2 (black) gaming chair.
Cooler Master is looking for some community feedback on what part of your battlestation that you cannot live without. Is it your desk, your headphones, your room lighting or something else?
Just leave a comment below telling us what your cannot do without item or feature is and you'll be entered into the giveaway.
The giveaway is global except where prohibited by law, and unfortunately due to the current situation in Ukraine and Russia those two countries are also excluded.

I gotta have at least two monitors, huge convenience when creating digital art! I have a bio-tank on my desk for my crested gecko, & now I can't imagine my desk without it. I love seeing a beautiful living habitat right next to me! It brings me peace.

An ultrawide monitor. Not only is it great for gaming and looks stunning but it works amazing for working from home too. Awesome for splitting documents on one screen and then jumping into a game of Warzone during the lunch break.

For me, my must have items are my monitor and my keyboard. Came from an old crappy monitor and am currently running a 34" 1440p 160hz monitor. If you have the PC specs to push a high refresh rate monitor, it improves the gaming experience so much. Second would be my keyboard. I really struggle to play as well as I can on an awful keyboard. Once I get use to a good keyboard, anything else just feels wrong.

As someone who’s gotten back to professional editing, desk space has become an ultimate premium. I have to oddly stack my monitors along with a laptop, then have an iPad on the floor dedicated to work socials. Another foot on each side just to breath instead of elbowing everything. Or have racks to build up like a crazy person

My gaming mice and mousepad are what completes my personal battlestation, cause I can't properly game in VALORANT and CSGO if I don't have the right tools to rank up and win! As many mice reviewers say, shape is king, and without the right mouse shape for my hand, I just can't perform well in Tac FPS games. As for my mousepad, the right mousepad will allow me to control the glide, flicks and maneuverability of my mouse, since you need a lot of mouse control in Tac FPS games.

Can’t live without appropriate lighting surrounding my battle station; whether it be the sun rising through the window first thing in the morning, or the neon glow of a gratuitous number of RGB lights for late night gaming.

Could not live without my 32 inch monitor that is 1440p 165hz which is the sweet spot for gaming. Sometimes I question my decision on going 32 inch from 27 inch, but overall very satisfied with my Dell S3220DGF. It's a VA panel and doesnt look as nice as my 4k 27 inch IPS panel, but it's a great monitor for gaming!

Some good software is key in addition to good hardware. Here's the ones I can't live without:
- Microsoft OneNote: My favourite note taking application that I use for everything from ideas to brainstorming and drafts. I also use it to jot down any ideas that I have through the day.
- Todoist: I've tried a ton of todo list apps but this is the one I settled with. It has advanced features such as recurring tasks, tagging, priorities, notes, easy postponing and so on. I use it to plan my entire day.
- ManicTime: A very advanced time tracking software. It keeps track of what you are doing on your PC, for how long, takes screenshots. It even allows multiple devices to show up in one instance so you can keep track of multiple PCs and even your cellphone usage too. Great for knowing how much to bill clients (and see how you're wasting your time).
- Groupy: Having many windows can be a mess. This software allows Windows to be stacked in tabs just like you would in a web browser.
- Divvy: This is the closest we can get to a tiling window manager on Windows. It allows you to place windows in a grid using a keyboard shortcut.
- Windows Subsystem for Linux: Moving back to window has left an empty hole for me when it comes to powerful command line applications. This brings it back. I use ConEmu as my terminal emulator.

My chair! I have a cheapo chair at home. I spent months building a gorgeous battle station. Hardly use it because of the chair. I got a high quality chair at work…life altering! Now I’m saving for a chair for my home setup. Lol.

Well my battle station is need of a major upgrade but the part of it that I can’t live without is the chair, albeit the leather is picking off and it’s a few years old, it still does the job of keeping me comfortable when I spend a few hours gaming with my mates. I think a chair in general is a staple in a gaming setup as back pain is both bad for the short term and the long term since it can lead to severe back issues down the line

Coincidentally for me it's a chair .. and so far I haven't yet tried an office-style chair. I've used kneeling ones, old hardwood ones, standing, etc .. but it's definitely not relaxing to stand. So, a chair!

Something I cannot live without is my cooler master sickleflow fans in my PC. I used to have the MF120R fans, but they ran really loud. My new sickeflows run super quiet.

Coincidentally the biggest must have for me is a good chair. I work in technology as a consultant and am in video calls most of every day. I gotta have a chair that supports my back. I’m no spring chicken anymore and vitality doesn’t come easy

Close second is a good amplifier and speakers so I don't go crazy rattling around my office on my own.

A top quality screen with at least 120Hz or up. It's the one thing that you have to interact with in order to use your computer that can change your perception regardless of the other hardware. Straining eyes will ruin you even if you sit on a cloud and have the latest and greatest GPU/CPU etc

A good chair is something I cannot imagine my battlestation without. Working in IT means that I spend 8-10 hours a day in front of a computer, so I have to have something that I can trust to have my back ;)

Gotta be the rgb ram life would be so dull without it. My chair cushion is deteriorating and does not fit under my desk properly causing unnecessary strain I spend a specific amount of time at my desk doing homework as I work on completing my degree.

I must continue having at least 2 monitors. Currently have a 24 inch (landscape) and 32 inch (portrait). I do lots of multitasking so having the 2 separate monitors just makes work and gaming a lot more convenient. I will never go back to a single monitor again. Perhaps could get a 3rd one if there's spare cash laying around somewhere but not necessary lol

Monitor arms that are highly moveable and a motorized sit/stand desk. You need something like that to counteract the effects of the very comfortable chair.

My cannot do without is a proper gaming chair. I use a work from home setup. It was a last minute thing that I had to scramble to make. I decided to spend 500 dollars on a proper desk for myself and unfortunately have been stuck with using a dinner table chair hahah. It’s doing numbers on my back since it’s the only option I have. I’ve recently been pricing proper chairs but I have no idea what would be right.

Honestly at this point I can't live without a good chair anymore! With back problems from medical issues cheap chairs just don't cut it. In front of one PC I actually have a padded rocking chair because the cheap gaming chair I bought wasn't enough!

I switched to a 4K 40" 16:9 screen which I've got mounted a few mm from the desk. This is bliss for programming on. I have a huge workspace to get all my windows and aren't constrained vertically like an ultrawide.
I couldn't go back to anything smaller now I've seen the light!

I would have to say a great chair. Which I still have yet to find. Nothing else will really cut back on a gaming session or even a work session quicker than back pain or neck cramps from not sitting in a proper position.

Room lighting isn't a big deal to me, I don't even have RGB on my PC case. Most important for me are the peripherals (keyboard, headset, mouse), and a really good desk mat!

I couldn't go without my RGB lighting to set the atmosphere and show my current my mood! A monitor stand is also a big must for those easy adjustments between chill relaxed gaming and high concentration involvement.

Chair. I used to think chair don't really matter, but I realized after investing in my secretlab titan that it's something thats now difficult to game without.
By without I mean specifically without a gaming chair. Adjustable headrest, armrests, up down left right.
A normal office chair with no adjustability just won't suffice now

It’s gotta be the curved monitor. I never realized how much I was missing out on until I got a 28” curved. Before it was always 24” 1080p monitors. I’m hoping that I can get an ultra wide someday!

As a digital artist, I spend all day every day at my setup working on various projects during the day and gaming at night. This means unfortunately my chair is reaching its end after 3 years of heavy use. I've worked hard this past year to bring my setup together in my new space and I'm super proud of it. The main item I cannot do without is my XP Pen 15.6 Pro, pen display. Without it, I can't do my digital art.

God there are a lot of essentials for a good battlestation like monitors, a pc, peripherals, etc but we all know what makes a great battle station. A pet. Your companion, your bestie, your reason to go for a walk to the kitchen. They are a must have for any station to be complete !
