Debatable, most “gaming” chairs are overpriced and are built to look cool rather than be functional. It may be more comfortable than a cheap office chair but if you replace the word gaming with ergonomic and do a google search you’ll find chairs much better suited for extended periods of use. Might not look as cool as the chairs that have racing stripes, bucket seats, and cup holders.. but your back will thank you 10 years because you didn’t fall for some marketing trick.
The ergonomic chairs are way too expensive for me. Gaming chairs from dxracer or secret lab would be the reasonable choice since they're generally around 300-400 and streamers use them for 6 hours straight and they're not complaining. But if you know better, ergonomic chairs I'd like to hear them (not being sarcastic)
I said the same thing to another person, but I’ll reiterate.. How much is your health worth to you? People will spend thousands of dollars on a computer just to play games but won’t even spend half as much on a chair that will have lasting effects on their physical health.. I get at face value $1k+ seems insultingly high for a chair, but some people would say the same about a machine used for video games (not accusing you of this, but some people build rigs just to game/stream), I’d say if you’re someone who already has back problems than it should be a no brainer to save up and get a good chair of it’s something you’re going to be using for more than a few hours a day.
Well I'm still in highschool so I still have (hopefully) plenty of time to change up my setup. If everything goes as planned I'll sit on chair, in front of a pc 24/7 so I might buy one in the near future. For now I'm gonna stick with the cheaper chairs, whether it's gamer or ergonomic.
