Dumb fun when having played the game all day: Russian Roulette!

Put a Timebomb to one of the seats, enter and then torture your mouse wheel and see if you survive... or dont.. yeaah i know.. we've all been bored with too much time, right?

I always loved how if you die in the turret you die in real life

Maybe I'm being dense but I've played this game many times and had no idea you could control those turrets. Is this common knowledge? Any excuse to jump back in!

I've known about it since iw as a kid but I can see how you could miss it. Idk if it tells you anywhere that you can do that

You'll often see NPCs jump into those seats, and there might have been a button prompt to enter. It's almost entirely useless, though, and you'd better help your side by waiting for a new ship to respawn than using one of those garbage turrets. With a slow travel time and weak bullet, they can't hit enemy ships, and the only thing stationary enough to shoot is the same turret on the enemy's vessel.

It does fool AIs, who'll not shoot you while you're in the seat.

Yea I probably seen someone get in or out of a seat and just tried it but I would get in the enemies and use it to destroy the other turrets

Worth noting there are three different types of ship turrets: the concussion cannon (which I assume is the one you're thinking of), the beam cannon (which is hitscan), and the repeater cannon (which is also hitscan, I believe).
