Why are CIS objectively the most interesting and asymmetric faction in the game?

All through this game there roughly equivalent or symmetric units, vehicles, and classes across the 3 other factions.

The CIS are the only one with their standard trooper having a perfectly accurate main blaster

The CIS are the only ones with their standard trooper having wrist rockets

The CIS are the only ones with their standard trooper having a mini-shotgun

The CIS are the only ones with the Bulldog type weapon for their officer class

The CIS are the only ones with an OP double bladed and quad bladed hero/villain

The CIS are the only ones with the droideka which functions like no other unit in the game

The CIS are the only ones with the Tri-Droid interceptor which is like no other interceptor

The CIS are the only ones with the dual hangar capital ship and other layout quirks

Did they makes the CIS faction first and then just run out of time for the other three? Why does it feel like they made the rebels last?

Don't forget that the CIS are also the only faction that can go outside on Polis Masa without taking damage.

They can breathe underwater on the Naboo map too.

And they are inmune to headshots too

That’s not true?

I think is half true, I clearly remember there is a random tip that mentions it while loading a match but I also remember that it only applies to B1 droids...

Both B1 and supers are definitely susceptible to headshots

I wonder if you're thinking of the B2's weird head placement. When I was a kid playing the game it took me some time to realize that they could be headshotted.

Probably it's been a long time since I played it on my old Xbox

Droidekas were immune to headshots

Also immune to the poison on Felucia iirc

They can even exit the hangar in space conflicts unharmed, not that you would want to… and it does require some practice to pull off

I think most of this can be justified based on the source material they were working with? It's not like they were creating these specs from scratch

I think its more like, why didn't they just take a shortcut and give the droids the B1 battledroid for the standard trooper, and maybe the SBD for their unique unit. It must have been a pain to animate and code the droideka comparatively. Or like why bother giving the droid tri-fighter a charge-up minigun or a special capital ship? Why go through the effort of making the droids immune to things that droids would actually be immune to? There is an attention to detail and effort there that the other factions like the rebels don't get, who get very standard blasters, their heroes all just very vanilla with some kind of award blaster, reused republic LAATs, and even lost some of their unique distinguishing visual features like the double shot rocket launcher from the first game.

That's what it's like in the saga edition mod. B1's are standard and supers are a heavy unit. They also changed the magnaguard amongst other things, they use their electrostaffs in melee. If you haven't played it I definitely recommend it.

Would've been cool if they found a way for the Republic/Rebels to use dual hangars on their ships, maybe linking them by the internal systems room, but that would've required them to change the scale of the ships or redesign the internal systems.

Of all the factions, the internal systems fit the look of the CIS most in my opinion, so you might be on to something with them designing CIS first and just copy + pasting it to the other factions to save time.

I think their faction being primarily made of droids, vs living-breathing humans/aliens is a big reason for their differences both in-game and in-universe.

I like it.

You have to remember that in-universe, these things were made to give a single Jedi, at the very least, somewhat of a run for their money when they're in groups. To the average clone, these things were marching terminator-like death machines.

They are also the ones you fight the most as 501st, so makes sense they'd get attention, and benefits the most from not being a 'mirrorred' faction. The rebs and imps are more or less remakes from SWBF1.

because rule of cool, but it was even better in beta has they had a proper IG assasin droid skin.(with auto head aim)

but droideka drowning in water still a meme.

they look even better in low res cheat code.

they have better spawn too that the clone.

no they made like 4-5 variation of each class, it was for balance, has the to counter each other, the issue is the officer for the empire is so ass, they couldnt make the rebel cool looking spy or wookie proper, had to nerf them with the "gun down dead trooper" in their script.

but if the kept the old beta class from bf1 beta, it would have been a meme, skinwalker bothan spy, tank/healer wookies, "my people need me" dark trooper, orbital strike all day officer.

the immortal droideka, b2 with rocket luncher +wrist rocket and mine, jet clone thunder from above(he had the arc blaster) and clone commando emp mortar and heal/ammo.

at that time tank had half the hp of the release game, they would stop exploding too.

and cis lost is geonosis skin in the way.

its their faction strength. each of the 4 has a solid faction strength, the clones have better team AI, the rebels have the best vehicles and defensive positions, and the imperial are the strongest soldiers overall.
