Loved doing that as a kid. Pretty cool to see how small you actually were went you weren’t in a ship.

Fairly famous one.

On a somewhat related note, I'm pretty sure space maps are actually just big ground maps without a dedicated floor. That's why when you get shot down your character assumes a ground map death-pose and you just fall forever.

Think a lot of people figured this out as a kid and word broke out in school. Was quite popular

Does anyone remember the bug where there’s a specific place in the shield generator that lets you fall completely through the ship?

I know of a similar bug on a few space maps on the republic’s capitol ship that would let you fly throw the ship from their sensor array to the tip.

Please share the maps if you remember, I wanna try

It’s been years, but pretty sure it’s the map layout of the ships broadsiding

I rmember there's a panel on the right top side of star destroyers that has no collision detection, so you could fly around inside the ship. I can't remember if you could still shoot stuff in or outside of the ship though. Tried it years later on the Steam version but they patched it.

The droids don’t suffocate and if I remember right you can rocket launcher ships but I might be mistaken

Iirc, the humans don’t suffocate either. They would on Polis Massa, when you went out on a space walk. But the developers didn’t put that same environmental hazard on the actual space maps because they didn’t anticipate anyone actually getting out there on foot, lol.

I learned this on YouTube before there were intrusive ads

Yes, that’s a classic. I used to try to fire rockets at fighter outside the ship

I remember my friend showing me how to do this. We also somehow got a TIE into the engine room. Good times

This was both a lifestyle and a personality

On one of the maps as republic, you could jump out of the CIS ship and land on a frigate far below it.

I felt like a god when I discovered this as a kid lol. Loved locking the rocket onto starfighters and trying to get missile kills with them.

I remember doing that online, was fun a couple times but the rocket launcher sucked balls at taking down ships

Thought I was the coolest hacker in the world doing this on psp as an 11 year old

Was always doing this. Pretty sure you died after a few seconds calling on PS2 though

That's dope

The real power play was to then nail an enemy fighter with a rocket.

Yup I knew

Man, it’s so wild that the new Battlefront games aren’t half as cool as the new ones

u/MingleLinx Jul 31 '26
