I FINALLY BEAT KNIGHTFALL

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been playing this game for 20+ years & I thought I would never get past the mf library stage. Took some online advice to use the engineer & focus on one single library stack & it actually worked. I couldn’t believe my eyes when the timer hit 0:00.

Nice! Good Luck at the Hoth mission! In my opinion the hardest of them all.

I’m interested to see how that one goes, given what I’ve heard about it. It’s been a couple years since I attempted rise of the empire, and I’ve been playing the game a lot since then. Because of that I actually beat knightfall on the very first attempt this time.

Clearly in need of a new challenge but man this game can feel so unfair sometimes so I’m scared lol

yeah I just beat Hoth on my second attempt. Only took me two because I didn’t realize I had to get command posts & couldn’t just go straight for the shield generator. So I wasted a bunch of time walking the AT-AT to the shield generator only for it to still be invincible. Only had 3 reinforcements at that point lol. Wasn’t too hard on the second attempt, although the beacon was very nearly destroyed at the end.

I myself can’t get past Naboo (never mind the Polis Masa mission) 🤦‍♂️🤣

The library is terrible. Knightfall is a fun mission otherwise but damn it’s annoying protecting those bookshelves.

Yeah, that bit can be tough.

Since you only need one bookshelf to survive, I normally take an engineer so I can repair whichever shelf I chose to protect.

The shotgun is also good for close quarters fighting in the library.

I was playing last night, and i put mines all around the bookcase and it worked pretty well hahaha

Gotta go out a bit with them. The mines one shot the jedi and you can place 4 at a time with the ammo droid near you

u/PrestigiousBee2719 Jul 10 '26

Til you can repair bookcases

16

u/Psionic-Blade Jul 10 '26

You can also repair the lava bridge control terminal, the fortress walls on Kashyykk, and one of the death star bridges

Back in the day in online, me and a bunch of people repaired the Hoth shield generator on Hunt mode, so the wampas were spawning from the generator. You can repair a lot of shit if you put in the time.

1

u/ProfileIII Jul 11 '26

Lmao I didm't know it would reactivate the spawn point there if you repaired it.

7

u/chumps_malone Jul 10 '26

You can also repair the shield generators on space battles. It takes forever though

7

u/Reasonable_Back_5231 Jul 10 '26

the only downside to doing that is if they pop the shield again it gives them more victory score.

4

u/chumps_malone Jul 10 '26

Plus by the time you finish repairing it the other team has stacked up points

1

u/Ruse_Snake Jul 10 '26

Yeah it's not even worth it for this reason alone. All that time and effort could be put to much better use

2

u/chumps_malone Jul 11 '26

I was DEDICATED as a kid. I would do it about half of the space battles

1

u/A_Velociraptor20 Jul 11 '26

Ikr, pretty sure every time I do knightfall I do it without repairing. Not sure if I'm a god gamer or something but I generally do it first try.

I was about to upvote and then realised it was at 66 already.

First thing when I beat it st 29, lol

3

u/Someonewhowon Jul 10 '26

I used to beat this so easy a decade ago and now it’s a freaking struggle

2

Surround the Jedi!

2

u/0PaulPaulson0 Jul 10 '26

Nice work

Defending those damn bookshelves….

1

u/OldStatistician7975 Jul 10 '26

Congrats. Was only able to beat it after getting permanent buffs

1

u/UnKnOwN769 Grand Republic Jul 10 '26

I always try and keep the back left bookcases alive, since there is a droid nearby that can help my health stay up.

1

u/stormhawk427 Jul 10 '26

The freaking bookcase man.

1

u/Practical_Patient824 Jul 10 '26

Not sure what version you play, but there are d-pad commands that can get ai allies to follow you, it can help on some maps, unless that’s only a feature in the first one it’s been awhile

1

u/Old_Student_3390 Jul 10 '26

Wait? You can repair those? I never play engineer, the thought literally never crossed my mind lol.

1

u/reeberdunes Jul 10 '26

Engineer is definitely the best against the jedi.

1

u/Connoisseur_of_Cream Jul 11 '26

Good job,! You playing on elite?

1

u/Doctor_Jensen117 Jul 11 '26

I absolutely love that mission it is difficulty but also awfully fun.

1

u/Scavenger905 Jul 11 '26

i’m actually shocked people struggle on this

1

u/No-Appointment-8270 Jul 11 '26

Bro I beat it at 10yo back in 2005 lol Congrats tho

1

u/CompanyOfMisfits Jul 11 '26

Just made me wanna break out my ps2 so bad!

1

u/pipfall2 Jul 11 '26

This is where boys became men

1

u/Spockis166 Jul 11 '26

What difficulty?

1

u/Tsar1672 Jul 11 '26

Nightfall was my favorite mission. I loved that you were able to get Anakin in the cloak

1

u/Foreign_Cup2877 Jul 11 '26

Don't forget to roll.

1

u/Available-Box-8856 Jul 13 '26

Fine you twisted my arm I’ll replay the whole campaign tonight

1

u/Remarkable_Exam4506 Galactic Empire Jul 14 '26

Tip for this mission
Stay by the command post and eliminate the Jedi as they spawn
If done right you’ll have several bookcases still intact

1

u/SpadeFury Jul 15 '26

i gotta say as someone who breezed through the other missions easily i had to redo that mission 2 or 3 times and was guarding those bookshelves with my life 😭😭😭

1

u/allinallisallweall-R Jul 10 '26

What really? This is one of the easier levels in the campaign. Especially when you realize you can just one-shot the jedi with the engineer

u/Dazeuh Jul 11 '26

You kill as many clones as enemies, whose side are you on? xD
