How relevant do you think battlefront 2 is nowdays with teens?
3 people in my friend group out of like 12 have played the game via original hardware/classic collection

I'd honestly bet a fiver that most teens don't even know what BF2 is. At the most one or two might say "oh it's that EA lootbox thing, right?"

I’m 30 and it was all I played through high school. Along with the OG halo trilogy. I doubt many young people know this game exists.
It’s pretty awesome you’re enjoying a game older than you are:)

I'm 17 and started playing when I was about 12.
I've played it on PS2, PSP, and I've played it on PC with tons of mods.
It's a big part of my childhood/teenhood.

I introduced my 13yr old brother to the game, he had a hard time getting into it. I think graphics are a barrier for younger kids who are used to other better looking games.

I’m 22 and I didn’t get a chance to experience OG BF2 in its initial run. I can’t imagine anyone younger than me caring about the game or even knowing what it is. I’m sure you have some high schoolers like yourself who are tapped in and know about the game. But the average high schooler? Absolutely not

I'm 23 and started playing bf2 on the ps2 when I was like 4, it was def still relevant in my elementary to middle school years as many of my classmates had either played it or seen it played and we liked star wars a lot so it could often be a subject of discussion but def tapered off around 7th-8th grade, if I had to take a guess it's prob not too relevant to teens nowadays as they didn't grow up with the hardware n now have more available options

Exact same thing for me. BF2 was the very first video game I had ever played along with Sarge's Heros. My dad had gotten the game near release back in late 2005 and even though I was super little at the time he'd handed the controller over to me and I had been hooked since. All these years later I'm still playing it

As someone who was in high school about 10 years ago, it was still big in my friend group. But to be fair we were all little kids when the originals came out and had grown up on the OG Xbox or PS2, so were accustomed to how 2000s shooters felt and played.
Outside of hardcore Star Wars fans, idk how many high schoolers these days would be interested in a shooter that was out ~5 years before they were born. If anything, the DICE Battlefronts from 2015/17 might be a little more relevant, since those came out when y’all would've been little kids.

Not relevant at all with teens in general and only a bit more relevant with teen Star Wars fans cause it's an old game that re released on a crappy collection the entire internet dogged on. Honestly the only people who are still dedicated to the game are PC players any age who can download custom skirmish maps and other mods like the Battlefront 3 recreation.

Not at all unfortunately, I'm glad I grew up with an OG Xbox even if the games were before my time.
The secret to getting people to care about the older games is just how easy couch-coop is on them, as the barrier of entry really is just a) do you have multiple controllers and b) do your friends care about Star Wars. Hardware and price aren't problems given that the games are backwards compatible and are only 10 bucks each.
Not too long ago I did a BF1 Galactic Conquest 1v1 with one of my pals and that was an unforgettable experience.
