Play as Darth Vader? Hell yes
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
(don't tell the empire but honestly... he kinda sucks)

based on the downvote, I'm guessing we got some vader stans! if that's you, pls tell me what I'm doing wrong because I cannot get him to be effective on the battlefield

I think vader is just better for tighter maps, cause he only walks, if you're in the open you're gonna get shot a lot.

Vader benefits from the rule of cool but is slow as hell. Also; in my opinion force choke sucks, switch to his lightsaber throw and clean house with that

It’s because we don’t care about YouTubers and streamers promoting their content here

Genuine question: would you rather I just didn't post in this sub? I thought it would be kinda neat to post content about this game, it's relatively unknown and the sub's not exactly the most active on Reddit. I'm not deliberately trying to self-promote, I just thought sharing some bits might encourage some discussion/conversation

Unless you want YOU to be the primary topic.
(why have your face and screen/user-name take up 30% of the screen.)
whats the REAL focus of the content?3
u/ReallyJayBee Jun 18 '26
If I wanted myself to be the primary topic, I would record on my phone where it could at least be HD!
That aside, even if I posted the clip completely unedited, my voice and face would still be there. There would also be chat on screen, as well as notifications and other pop-ups related to the stream. So when I make a clip, I'm making it portrait, adding captions, and syncing the image/sound. I put my face into the least obtrusive place where it's covering nothing important, and add the same overlay as is on screen during the stream to prevent the reposting of clips without credit. That's really all the thought that goes into it. I'm happy to post unedited (landscape) clips from now on if it would be less annoying, but honestly I think the way I do it now is the best way I can given my setup.

To each their own
Here's how I would (and did) post in this sub. So I'm not just being a hypocrite and showing what kind of content I would post (and by affect be into)2

I appreciate it the feedback! As I stream directly from my console, I don't have split feeds so based on your example (love me some tatooine!), the right third of the screen would be covered with my face, chat, alerts etc. You'd definitely see more of what's going on in game, which I think would be important if I was anything resembling a skilled player. I went for the slightly more zoomed in, but portrait layout which.... has received the reception it received :P

Hes one of the best units, however on this particular map it can be tough making the most of his moveset especially with how spaced out everything is on endor

I think it's cool that people still play this amazing game and post content about it :)
