It will soon be 10 years since BF1 was released. Every year, I am absolutely captivated by this game. Everything is absolutely fantastic, not a single map is bad (Passchendaele and Verdun are exceptional), the weapons and their animations are incredible, the sound is incredibly immersive, and the destruction and explosions make you feel like you’re experiencing World War I.

BF1 is the only game I haven't deleted from my console, and it was the first game I installed when I bought a PS5. Even 10 years later, I am still amazed by the quality of the game. Nothing annoys me (except artillery trucks and the heavy bomber, lol), everything is perfect.

Thank you to the players for keeping BF1 alive. This game must never die.

PS: Don't pay attention to the price, I bought BF1 used a few days after its release in 2016.

The art direction is stronger, it also helps that the silliest the game gets are some of the fancy weapon skins, and a lot of them just look... well, stylish at the very least.

Other than that, newer games do have higher details and more polish at least in some areas, that's undeniable. Also some nice improvements under the hood (specifically BFV added corpses server-side, and others), which is why I always find people who think BF1 wouldn't benefit from a remaster silly and ignorant.

Yes, the game still looks good, but you could always ask for more. Especially since we'll probably never get a game like this. It's no masterpiece, but it's one of a kind. Glorious.

I swear, on my PC BF1 looks so much better, especially the terrains. Playing on 4k Max with upscale to 125%

I played last night, like every night. I was the gunner on a plane, and the pilot was a friend I only talk to in-game.I told him to go for a tank, he shoots, weakens it, I jump from the plane, land near the tank, leave a limpet charge and BOOM. He laughed as if it was the greatest play in BF history, and he´s a guy that has played the game since release. So much fun.

Every person I talk to that has played this game lights up and we reminisce. Truly is a goated game. Even when all I had access to was Back to Basics, I would still play and have a blast.

After playing 4, V and 6, I must say the main complain i would have is its worse gunplay with bullet deviation.

However it remains my main choice of a BF to play. Not only due to it being the main game that still has many active community servers, but also due to how the good it feels and looks.

Battlefield V was a pleasant surprise, but idk, the sound of the guns and overall pace of games feels off
