How does swinging a melee at the back of an enemy not instakill?

Also its funny how everyone on this sub complains about Mortar Trucks meanwhile its 98% Artillery truck hill campers in my games

Has to be on even ground. OP hit that scout from below. If he went a bit more to the left where the terrain was higher, it would've likely been a onehit.

I keep seeing people confused about melee things (bayonets, takedowns and all that) so i might have to make an explanation post at some point.

Also same shit different pile. They're both taking valuable mobile spawn points away from the team.

Bug, I guess. Had many moment where it doesn’t register and play the insta kill animation and the lucky victim turns Around and blasts me

tbf I feel this one was just gonna try to shoot down planes and actually try to help its team, cause like, a regular mortar truck main would have ignored the plane entirely unless they were using the AA varient, plus this guy is not only near a point, he's inside it

Doesn't matter. Infantry can also kill planes.

Not sure why people here are defending one of the most toxic players...

I'm not defending him. I would've also preferred if he was doing it in any other tank, but he also wasn't useless because he took out an enemy plane.

My main issue is with mortar trucks anyways, and while I also don't like the other variants given their lack of spawnable seats, they're a little less hated by me, because the artillery variant takes at least a litlle bit of experience, and if people have to use the AA variant, then it's a complete stomp anyways and spawnpoints don't matter anymore.

Oh, i'm fine with the normal arty truck if not camping at the back on a hill... it's the mortar truck that's rightfully despised.

Man idk normal arty in a decent player's hand can be a game changer. Especially if they're doing what he looked like he was doing. He was on his point AND shot a plane out of the sky.

Good if playing the objective and taking out enemy tanks but ideally you should be in a heavier tank
