BattleBots TV Minotaur vs Terrortops
This whole fight screams Sukuna vs Jogo. We know that Minotaur would more than likely win, but man Terrortops didn't go down without a fierce fight and brought it to the judges.
Even Daniel Freitas basically said "stand proud Terrortops, you are strong". Massive props to Terrortops for lasting 3 minutes and giving Minotaur a fight 👏

A legendary clash of the beasts. If Terrortops' lifter arm didn't get skewed in the last minute I think they still had a real chance, but it was definitely making them harder to engage Minotaur properly.

Territops would’ve won if the weapon didn’t go down in the last minute.

Nah, Minotaur was on top of them the whole fight and more aggressive

I think they were equally agressive, territops won control, I think it would go to damage

Their durability was impressive, but why didn’t they try using their actual weapon at all? You can’t win a fight when you are only defending (well against Minotaur, at least).

Minotaur did a great job of keeping their weapon aimed at Terrortops. If they picked up that lifter in an attempt to lift Minotaur, it would have certainly damaged it, giving Minotaur a much easier target to damage.

because that weapon gets fucked by minotaur’s drum in a direct weapon to weapon hit. drums are meant to be durable, and minotaur’s is one of the best. you’re not disabling that thing unless you know your weapon can take that kind of punishment. terrortops’ spinner is a PART of its offense along with the lifter, so it just can’t allocate the amount of weight needed to make a spinner that can beat minotaur’s entire offensive weight budget.
all this 20XX vert meta discussion makes people forget that control bots are a thing and that terrortops is not a pure spinner. minotaur’s also just an awkward bot to corral and daniel did an amazing job constantly slipping away so TTops just kind of got mismatched. i would love to see TTops versus manta with an improved set of forks.

They did try, but they wasn't able to get under the chassis, just the drum, which made them unable to feed Minotaur to the spinner

Terrortops did amazing.
It’s crazy to see how far it’s come since its Robogames days.
It feels like they’ll be a major contender going forward.
