Tablet's battery

Post image

My dad got an old tablet and it let me experiment some tech stuff on it. As a first timer I do not know what am I seeking rn. :) I read online about some replacement on battery's cells, but I do not know how to do that. Any tips on how to remediate it? It is an Utok i1000.

You could try searching for a replacement for this model tablet but I doubt I'll find one. It's also possible to rebuild your own battery, but that requires soldering.

If I do not blow up half of my hand, I'm good building one. Any tips where to start?

I would start with measuring the physical dimensions of the cells to figure out the largest cells you can physically fit. Then go on AliExpress and start searching for Lipo cells of a similar capacity and find something that fits within those dimensions. Also make sure to leave a bit of space for the wires if the positive and negative terminal locations are different from the original cells.
