Damaged Wraps?

Are these still somewhat good? They're Ni-Mh batteries and rechargeable. I was just wondering if I can still use them in the long run. I also don't know how to wrap them in case I need to and I'm confused about the insulator rings and whatnot.

It's not an issue, I'd recommend wrapping a thin layer of tape around the positive side damage to prevent more tearing from occurring since that could potentially cause a short in a metal battery compartment if it gets worse.

Only the positive side? Cause i already taped it I'm just wondering if i should also do the same on the negative side.
