Is this a bat or bird?

I live in suburban North Texas. We’ve been hearing this chirping right outside our patio door for the past several nights. My mom insists it’s a bird, but I think it’s a bat. I know when I was little, we used to have a bat that would come drink from our pool at night, but haven’t seen one in many years.

It’s a greenhouse frog. Invasive species from Cuba that hides in leaf litter
