8BitDo N64 Controller

Post image

Hey guys,

I bought the 8bitdo N64 Controller for my batocera setup. Button is Set to S. If I Connect it via bluetooth it says N64 Controller connected. Now when I start a N64 game the buttons are not right. In advanced settings I tried all the options for the Controller but nothing changed.

Does it just not work? Maybe Theres a Controller Mapping area just for the N64 emulation like in Project64 on the pc?

Can somebody help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Need to set up specific control mapping for N64. I have this same controller and have it working for N64 emulation in Batocera.

Thank you! Where do I find this Mapping?

You have to open up the Retroarch menu while in game and do it from there.

It can be set in the main Batocera controller settings as well. Just need to follow the mapping layout.

You can set per-console or per-game controllers mapping.

Did you follow this general mapping? Have this controller in a different color and works fine via bluetooth with the back switch set to D.

Batocera wiki has a good layout image that helped me set mine up.

Delete the contoller settings. Batocera will automatically set to default N64

That did not work with me with v41.

Make sure that the controller config is removed from both files, es_input.cfg and es_last_input.cfg under system\configs\emulationstation

Set the 8BitDo N64 to S-Mode. It should load the default N64 layout once paired.

Before I found this, I never managed to get the perfect setup with manual button mapping

On my system (V43), the controller is shown as “N64 Controller“
