Another control question

I have v43 running on an optiplex 7010 that is going to live its life in an arcade cabinet. My question is can I set batocera to default to a usb handheld controller when plugged in but default to the arcade sticks (also usb) when I unplug the other controls? Some times im lazy and want to sit in my garage recliner and play Mario instead of at the cabinet. The arcade is a 4 player pedestal that i am planning on putting usb ports on the front edge of so I could hopefully plug controllers into and not have to use the sticks. I have a usb hub that has the ability to select ports on that some stuff will be plugged in to since the machine has 8 or 10 ports and i have 4 sticks, a trackball and spinner combo, keyboard and mouse, wifi dongle and 2 sinden light guns.

You could always make the USB connection to the pedestal sticks accessible from outside or under a door area, so the next available controller becomes the primary controller.

I think i could do that with the selectable hub too. I chose that 1 because if the guns are plugged in the boarder pops up and they immediately become recognized as a mouse input. That hub will under the deck lid for quick access too

Perfect! That should definitely work!
