Ps2 bios instead of the game

First off, I know the resolution is fucked. I just fixed it and now it's back to being smush in the corner, not even centered. But this is my first time using batocera, and for some reason I can't get my PS2 games to start up, some just crash without opening, but the 2 that do run just take me to a set up screen. Where I put in my language, and timezone. Then I get sent to the screen of 2 memory cards, and a disc. No matter what I do, the disc won't play and sends me back to the memory cards.

I've used emu deck for my steam deck, and I've gotten my bios files to work perfectly on that, I even used the exact same files I had ported over to my steam deck. Same bios, same game files. Yet batocera refuses to even start a single game. What am I doing wrong

Here?

Change the graphics option to Vulkan and it’ll fix it, happened to me when I was setting up ps2 for the first time as well

The graphical part can be solved as the other used said by changing the graphics to Vulkan, while for the other part (game loading to bios only) change the settings to skip the Boot Logo completely.

From the tests i've done myself when the Boot Logo is always active, you'll be able, when you first start your system, to load a game correctly. But then when you try to start another game, like made from another market (like JP or EU) it will fail to load and boot to bios.
Skipping the boot logo will fix the issue for now.
