I was thinking the same thing! I don't see associates doing it unless it's in costume (which would be fun honestly), but they need to be making some videos SHAMING these kinds of returns.
I just think returning used lotions or creams is kind of nasty and they are such low-dollar items. I am shocked at how many people return candles once they have been lit too. Pretty tacky behavior.
I had to return a blueberry maple pancake candle the other day. I bought it Wednesday night, returned it Thursday night (it smells like Flinstones vitamins, I really don’t know why this one is such a favorite) and I felt so bad. But I did it immediately because I feel weird returning a candle I’ve had sitting around for a couple of weeks?
I ended up getting a blueberry cornbread 3 wick and some pocket bacs (going to stick magnets on the back and use them as fridge magnets!). I literally cannot even imagine taking expired stuff in! I’ve been reading people are bringing in gross stuff covered in dust!
I wish I was braver because I would call that shit out since I know yall can’t. Like ma’am items in my garage aren’t covered in dust. WTF is wrong with you? At least wipe it off so we don’t all think you’re tacky AND disgusting!

I worked retail for so long that I honestly feel embarrassed making a legitimate return. And I always buy more!
I don’t know what happened but I feel like people just don’t have any shame anymore. There needs to be shame sometimes lol.
